Happy Mother’s Day!
Wow, it’s my first real Mother’s Day! How exciting!

Technically, today wasn’t a very exciting day. In fact, it was a very ordinary day with one exception…I had a lot of free time for myself! It’s been so long since I’ve had a free moment to do whatever I want…
I woke up really early this morning because Ellie was hungry. After I fed her and put her down IN HER OWN CRIB (Yay!) I sat down and worked on my computer while both Ellie and Jason slept. Other than the occasional feed, I was pretty much undisturbed all morning and afternoon. It felt really good to be able to do something other than hold Ellie or feed her or change her.
Even after Jason woke up at 1:30pm, Ellie stayed asleep and for quite a while too. She was pretty good when she was awake and we were playing together. Of course as soon as it began to get dark outside, she began her fussy hours but lucky me, Jason helped calm her down so I can enjoy my day a little longer.
Ah, I like Mother’s Day….
