Week in my Life 2011 | Sunday

Life, Reflections

The Story of Sunday

Sundays tend to be slow days for us. Sundays are normally spent being lazy around the apartment. We try to go out for a little bit just so E can get some energy out but it’s mostly a day spent resting.

We did start off this Sunday with a strong earthquake in the wee hours of the morning though.

Details of Today

A little Van Houten chocolate milk mixed with regular milk.

E hasn’t worn a pair of matching socks in a long time. She likes the mismatched look.

Happy Meal toys. The red one talks and the yellow one has blinky lights.

Ever wonder what the RAM looks like in an iMac?

Today’s Drama

There was a bit of a struggle trying to get E to nap in her own bed. After a while, we gave in and let her nap in our bed with us.

Out and About

Akihabara (aka. Electric Town)

Reason we came out here: Turkish Kebob

Favorite Moment

Ever year, Pepsi Japan comes out with a unique limited edition soda. This summer it was the Pepsi Caribbean Gold – White Sapote flavor. I bought one yesterday out of curiosity (as I do every year) and found it too sweet for my taste.

E, being the curious child she is, wanted to try it too. Knowing that she will react funny to the flavor, I decided it would be amusing to get it on camera. Here’s what she thinks of the soda.

Last thought of the week

Today’s the last day for the “Week in the Life” project. I’m sure both Jason and E are glad that it’s over since I’ve had the camera on them all the time. I’m a bit relieved it’s over too because I was starting to run out of things to photograph. I do look forward this again next year!

I’ll put up some final thoughts on this years project tomorrow…after I get the chance to digest my week a little in my head :)

It has been really neat to see a glimpse into your week. I love seeing how different (and similar) things are in Japan. That grocery store shot just seems crazy to me!!!

And I think mismatched socks are in. There is even a brand called Little Miss Matched that has all “matched” but “mismatched” stuff. You should check it out for E!

E is already heading into high fashion with those variegated socks. Just wait until she hits the tweens!
